PM Karki Reaffirms Commitment to Hold Elections on Announced Date

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has emphasized that it is the responsibility of the head of government to conduct the upcoming elections on the announced date and hand over leadership to the younger generation, steering the country toward rapid development.

Speaking at the 22nd National Jyapu Day celebrations organized by the Jyapu Culture Development Trust in Kathmandu today, PM Karki said the government is fully prepared to hold the general election on Falgun 21.

She highlighted that the government is committed to addressing key demands raised by the Gen-G movement, including ending corruption, ensuring good governance, creating employment opportunities, and guaranteeing essentials such as gas, shelter and cotton. 
“Everyone must be determined to fulfill these demands,” she stressed.

The Prime Minister also underlined the importance of integrating culture with tourism while ensuring its preservation. Extending her best wishes to the Newar community of the Kathmandu Valley, she congratulated them on the occasion of Yomari Punhi and Jyapu Day.
